Rest & Receive: Community Breathwork & Restorative Yoga
1 Friday/month | Yoga Shala by the Sea
Donation-based class | Open to all
This is a community-centered offering rooted in the belief that rest is a birthright, not a luxury.
Rest & Receive is a prop-supported restorative yoga class woven with gentle, accessible breathwork—designed to normalize breathing and resting in the collective. It’s a space to gather, attune, co-regulate, and nourish.
We move through 3–5 restorative postures, each one supported by bolsters, blankets, and blocks. Between shapes, I guide intentional breath practices to help explore the full terrain of your breath body—inviting breath into the places that feel sticky, collapsed, or held.
Breath practices may include:
3-part Viloma
Sama Vritti (equal ratio breath)
Chandra Bhedana (left nostril cooling)
Bhramari (humming breath)
Ujjayi with extended exhale (e.g. 4:8 ratio)
Occasionally: Katonah wraps, magic square, and other spatial metaphors
Each class is a ritual of nourishment—held in rhythm, silence, and sound.
This is not a performance space. There is no rushing. No needing to do it right. Only the invitation to return to your body in the company of others.
This offering is one of my deepest commitments:
To create a space where the nervous system can exhale.
To make rest communal, sacred, and accessible.
No registration required. Come as you are. All bodies welcome.
Offered as a heart-based donation to support access and community care.
This offering is also available as a paid class for studios, wellness spaces, or retreats.
